The “Wildlife of the Columbia” kayak, another Guillemot 17’ boat, represents another level of complexity of inlay work on the deck. Inspired by some of my favorite birds often spotted flying around the shores of the mighty Columbia River near Richland, Wa. The aft portion of the deck represents the section of river in my backyard. Thirty different kinds of wood are used for this kayak.
