Looking for a budget-friendly place to stay during Wooden Boat Festival? The historic dormitories at Fort Worden State Park offer private, locking rooms with shared bathrooms down the hall and a cozy shared living room and kitchen. While the rooms are simple, they’re clean, quiet, and only a few miles away from Festival grounds.
It’s a fun, affordable way to be fully immersed in the Wooden Boat Festival experience! Guests are part of the Festival crowd, and everyone loves the community vibe.

Pricing
Two night minimum. Dorms available Thursday, September 10, to Sunday, September 13. Choose from three different room styles: Single Twin Bed, Two Twin Beds, or Full & Twin Bed.
TWO NIGHTS
(Friday 9/11, Saturday 9/12)
- Single Twin: $200
- Two Twins: $375
All two-night rooms are on the second level.
THREE NIGHTS
(Thursday 9/10, Friday 9/11, Saturday 9/12)
- Single Twin: $280
- Two Twins: $550
- Full & Twin: $575
All three-night rooms are on the ground floor.
A Discover Pass is required for parking at Fort Worden. It can be purchased online or in person at a kiosk inside the Fort Worden entrance.

Fort Worden State Park is located at 200 Battery Way E, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
Check-in is from 3 PM–7 PM. Check-out is by 11 AM.
Cancellation Policy: Please notify us of your cancellation by emailing dorms@woodenboat.org. Cancellations received at least 30 days prior to arrival date will be refunded less a $25 administrative fee; cancellations made less than 30 days prior will not be refunded.

Taps at the Guardhouse is right on-site in the historic guardhouse—perfect for elevated small plates, salads, local brews, wine, and craft cocktails. Open for morning coffee, pastries, full meals later in the day.

Cable House Canteen offers grab‑and‑go snacks, espresso, cold drinks, firewood, sunscreen—and daily kayak/SUP rentals.
- Planted at Reveille offers daily food service year-round. You'll find breakfast, lunch, grab-n-go items, espresso, smoothies and other beverages.
Hiking & Trails
Explore 12 miles of scenic trails through mossy forest and historic bunkers. Hike up Artillery Hill to wander old batteries, mortar pits, and enjoy harbour views—plus quieter woodland loops near the Upper Forest Campground. Boardwalks, interpretive signage, and accessible paths make it easy to tailor your adventure to any pace.
Beach & Waterfront Activities
The park boasts 2+ miles of sandy salt‑water shoreline, with a stair‑accessed bluff overlooking Puget Sound. Ideal for beachcombing, shell‑hunting, or watching Cascades-backed sunsets.
