Built during the 2022 winter to satisfy my need for an easily beach launched, stable, and highly efficient camping boat. The Paul Fisher design met my needs and was within my skill level to successfully build. The original design was modified to include dual rowing stations and a watertight compartment in the bow for storing clothes and sleeping bags. Built of cedar strips with walnut trim and a coating of red Awlgrip Ms. Lillian was launched on 23 February 2023. After much angst and consideration, the EP Carry electric motor was selected due to its highly efficient design and lightweight. With a 24V/50AH battery system mounted under the middle seat the boat can motor for 5 hours at about 4 knots.
