I call this my COVID boat since it was constructed in 2020 and the first half of 2021 while I was hiding in my shop. The sawn frames are constructed from 7/8 Khaya (aka African mahogany) and covered with 3/8 in Okoume plywood. The outside of the hull is also fiberglassed with 10 oz cloth for extra strength and durability. The boat was launched in May 2021 and named after my wife Sue (who does not runaround). The deck is a departure from the Glen L plans in that the plywood is covered by hand-laid planks of Khaya in the style of a caulked teak deck. The boat is powered by a 75 hp Evinrude E-tech motor with a top speed of 35 mph.
