INCONCEIVABLE was started by a gentleman who is a traveling salesperson. He worked on the boat in chunks of time over 15 years, often not touching it for multiple years at a time. He moved several times during this 15 years. In Fall 2017, he was moving from Washington State to the East Coast, and decided not to move it again. An acquaintance of mine named Rick acquired it; with two stipulations:
1. It must be completed
2. The name is INCONCEIVABLE
To the builder, it was inconceivable that the boat might ever be finished. My friend ultimately decided he had too many other boat projects, and sought out someone else to make good on the promise.
I happened to be on Facebook at the right moment, and was able to hatch a plan with Rick. I received clearance from the Admiralty, and INCONCEIVABLE was brought home in the fall of 2018. My father-in-law, Steve, and I have been working on it steadily since then. As I write this in April, the plan is to launch the boat this summer, and get a few adventures under her keel before PTWBF.
