Providence

Built in Denmark in 1903 as an Anchor Seiner, Providence worked in the North Sea for several decades—serving in both World Wars and commandeered by Germany in WWII. After repatriation to Denmark, she served in the Danish Navy and eventually returned to domestic registry. Bought and sailed to Victoria in 1979 by Peter Watson and put back to work as a fish packer for more than 20 years.

In 2017 she’s changed hands again and underwent major restoration and upgrades to TC passenger certification and is now employed in Charter and Sail Cargo in BC waters.
