Ralph Winslow was a prolific, exacting designer and this design made subtle changes to a type he’d been drawing for more than thirty years.
We have owned Windsong twice durning the last 40 years, and she has been a good teacher. She has cruised the Salish Sea extensively and to Alaska and back the outside once. Next year we are planning to go out side of Van. Isle again.
As Emerald Marine’s flagship for the last 15 years, she has enjoyed a complete hull refastening and caulking, new keel bolts, a new rudder, new sails, new beta engine, new wiring, and more.
She is yellow cedar and meranti planked on white oak steamed frames and oak and yellow cedar back bone. Fastened with bronze screw and nails. Iron ballasted, plywood decks and spruce spars.
