Myst was built and sailed near Vancouver, British Columbia. She made her way to Bainbridge Island and now Whidbey Island. Myst’s distinctive figurehead can be seen on the water between Clinton and Mukilteo, if you are on the ferry.
Along with her figurehead, her builder made her with an inboard cartridge-style rudder, very similar to her daggerboard.
Myst is teaching me to sail a lug rig, which has its own demands, different from the sloops of my past.
