Designed in the 1930s by renowned Seattle boat designer Edwin Monk, the 12-foot Monk Skiff is a beautifully refined version of a traditional flat-bottomed utility boat. With flared sides, a gently curved stem, and a raked transom, this little skiff combines simplicity with timeless style and exceptional functionality. Originally intended for rowing or sailing—and later adapted for small outboards—Monk’s skiff is known for its stability, dry ride, and ease of construction.
