Limoncello is a classic Thompson 1960s Wooden Boat. Thompson Wood boats are primarily known as lapstrake outboard boats, often with a stained and varnished mahogany deck and windshield frame. For much of their history, they were also known for their cedar-strip hulls. Limoncello had a plywood mahogany deck, which we replaced with a solid Honduras Mahogany deck. Previous owners had replaced the dual classic Johnson 25 hp motors, which were part of the history of these boats. They put a 65 hp Mercury engine on the back, which is actually better for the waters around Port Townsend.. The color of Limoncello came from the original paint factory in Peshtigo, Wisconsin who is still in business. The original color was called Lemonade and we were lucky enough to discover where that paint came from and ordered it directly. Kelly painted the name Limoncello on the transom in Gold leaf.
