I built Koru over 2.5 years and launched her in October 2022. She is a Didi 23 by Dudley Dix. Several modification I made include: sugar scoop transom, the shape of the companionway, companionway hatch, and an 1kw ePropulsion pod drive with a folding prop. The raised section in the cockpit once housed a retraction system for the motor, but fixing it in place with a folding prop is much simpler. I now have a handy foot rest and huge amount of storage. I recently added a retractable bowsprit for an asymmetrical spinnaker, a stack pack, and toe rails.

She is a very fast boat. Under jib and main alone I have had her up to 7.5 knots and she is capable of planing at up to 14 knots with the kite. I am hoping to start racing her soon.
