Josephine

Built in 1934 by Tacoma Boat Co. in Tacoma, Washington Josephine was originally named Eleanor and built for Einar Williams of Ketchikan, Alaska. She actively fished until the year 2000 when she was purchased by Sam Devlin of Devlin Boat Company of Olympia, Washington. Her fishing license was sold and she entered in her autumn years into a life of cruising the same Northwest waters that she once fished. She has taken her current owners up and back to Alaska several times and just like in her working life always kept her crew safe and sound. This current year she is taken care of by both Sam Devlin and by Mike Warjohn of Olympia, sharing duties of trying to keep a 92 year old gal looking trim and fit. It is our hope that she will continue to be well cared after for the next 8 years and that we will all be fortunate enough to see her live fully to her 100th year. While never intended to last this long Josephine is a fine testimony to hard work and skill in her construction and the fine materials of the Northwest coast all put together in one very good looking vessel.
