Idyl

Idyl was launched in June 2024, after a two-year build. She has okoume ply planking on yellow cedar framing and sapele floors and keel. External ballast is a 1000 lb. lead shoe, internal ballast is another 900 lbs. She features twin centerboards to improve cabin access, and a lifting rudder for beaching. She has a fully-battened cat yawl rig with sprit booms, and the main mast is in a tabernacle. We added a four foot bowsprit for easier anchor handling. The interior features a V-berth forward, and two quarterberths outboard of the centerboard trunks. Amidships there is a cabinet to port which encloses the composting head, to starboard is a small wood stove. Auxiliary power is a 16 foot yuloh sculling oar.
