Grace O’Malley was built in Beaumont Texas by Dr. John Vardiman over a 20 year period. She has white oak frames planked with Atlantic cedar above waterline and Honduran mahogany below. She was purchased in 2019 by Richard Schuettge and trucked to Anacortes then sailed to Deer Harbor where she has undergone a complete transformation of rig and interior by owner and Michael Durland of Deer Harbor Boatworks. She calls Deer Harbor home and sails in the San Juan and Gulf Islands
