“Creosote” was build for the Bainbridge island creosote plant. the vessel’s job was to transport treated lumber around the PNW and to assist with ship maneuvering as needed. The entire hull was rebuilt in 2015 by perpetual boat works of port Townsend. ‘Creosote” now belongs to the Historic Maritime Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving workboat history and inspiring at risk youth to pursue careers in the maritime industry.
