The Blue Peter was conceived, designed, commissioned, and built by Seattle Hands, at Lake Union Drydock. Through her 97 years of services the Blue Peter has done everything from serving as the committee boat for countless races in Seattle, Port Townsend, Olympia, and points in between, cruising for her second owner in San Francisco during the 1930’s, carrying workers for the Canol Pipline project during world war 2 for the US. Army, Hosting many parties and functions for H.E. McCurdy and his family and friends all over the Pacific Northwest, Hosting the University of Washington’s Husky Marching Band, in the Seattle Yacht Club’s Opening Day of Boating Season as one of the “Husky Navy Boats”, Participating with the Classic Yacht Association’s Pacific Northwest Fleet for the Annual Classic Yacht Rendezvous and many other functions, cruising with the Barbo Family and their many beloved guests, and carrying guests to share our amazing local cruising grounds. Her latest five-year restoration was performed right here in Port Townsend, at Haven Boatworks. The Blue Peter is a true Pacific Northwest Treasure!
