Built in the Bay of Island in New Zealand, Araminta was the only vessel in her class built as a sloop, the others are ketch rigged. solidly built (Kauri hull, Gum wood frames with copper rivet fasteners and Teak cabin) to handle the local conditions she raced in the local circuit and cruised the islands until she was sailed to San Francisco, via Hawaii, where she continued raced and cruised until finding her way to the Salish sea. Today Araminta still graces the local waters, drawing attention where she goes.
