The Acorn 17 is a versatile and proven design by Iain Oughtred, offering excellent rowing and sailing performance. With fine lines and a wineglass transom, it is efficient, responsive, and a beautiful example of traditional wooden boat craftsmanship. This skiff is 17’1″ long overall, with a beam of 3’10” and a draft of 17″. It is built from cedar lapstrake planking on white oak frames, with sapele used for the centerline and transom, and fastened with copper and bronze. Complete with brand new sprit sail abd rigging, leeboard, and oars. Please note that a trailer is not included.
