I have spent many years working in Norway as a woodcarver, often times on Vikings ship replicas. I was familiar with clinker built construction, but had
never worked on its construction. In June of 2024 I began, at age 81, to build this 10 foot Norwegian clinker built pram. I acquired the designs from
Warren Jordan. After about 1000 hours, the boat was completed and successfully launched in May in of 2025.

I also found it surprisingly satisfying to make the oars and leathers out of sitka spruce.

In building the boat, my learning curve was great. There were many problems to solve, along with sleepless nights. And naturally there are a
many mistakes and things that I would do differently and better the next time. I am already planning my next boat which will give me
an opportunity to improve on my mistakes and most importantly continue a love of wooden boat building.
