Designed by Ken Bassett, built by owner Pete Harrington over a 4 year time span and launched in 2014, Miss Mile-a-Minute is planked in mahogany and maple. The construction is batten seam, cold molded. All planks were vacuum bagged – no staples. The engine is a highly modified 1960 Mercury 800DR. Modifications include a completely rebuilt (0.040″ over) 1971 Mercury 1350 power head and lower unit (with rare 1.78:1 racing gears), short shaft, etc. Hydraulic steering, tilt/trim system, custom tilt/trim sending unit and gauge, foot throttles, start in Forward gear all add up to make an incredibly high performing boat. Top speed is 70mph. Home area is Lake Crescent located in the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. The boat’s favorite past-time is racing cars and log trucks along HWY 101.
