Parking & Transportation

Parking is limited during Wooden Boat Festival weekend, but there are plenty of ways to get here! Whether you park and ride, walk, bike, or take the bus, we encourage you to plan ahead. Here’s what you need to know:

Park & Ride Shuttle – Haines Place

Your easiest option is to park at the Haines Place Park & Ride (next to Safeway).

  • Free shuttles run approximately every half-hour all weekend long between the Park & Ride and the Festival entrance.
  • Hours: Fri 8:15 AM–8:45 PM, Sat 7:30 AM–8:45 PM, Sun 8:30 AM–4:20 PM
  • Please do not park in the Safeway lot—it is for grocery customers only.

📍 Haines Place Park & Ride is located just off SR-20, near Safeway.

Please note: There are two different shuttles running Festival weekend.

  • One goes directly between Haines Place Park & Ride and Festival. This one says "Festival" on it.
  • One makes multiple stops en route—view route map here.

Street Parking

  • The earlier you arrive, the better chance you have at finding street parking near the Festival.
  • This downtown parking map shows designated public parking areas.

If downtown is full, try the Uptown residential neighborhoods—like Lawrence, Clay, Franklin, or Jefferson Streets—and enjoy the short walk down to the Festival grounds.

Walk or Bike to Festival

Skip the parking and get here car-free!

  • Walk if you live nearby or can be dropped off downtown
  • Ride your bike—free bike parking at Bike Harbor is available right outside the Festival entrance (no bikes allowed inside grounds)

 Accessible Parking

Designated spaces for those with disabled parking permits

  • A limited number of ADA-designated parking spots are available.
  • These are located in the lot on Monroe Street, between Water Street and Jefferson Street—right next to the Festival entrance.
  • A valid disabled parking permit is required.

Drop-Off Zone

Need to drop someone off before parking?

  • There is a designated drop-off zone right in front of the main Festival entrance on Water Street.
  • This zone is also available for passengers with mobility aids or wheelchairs.
