Puget Lady is an Ed Monk, Sr. designed tri-cabin trawler. She was built in 1941 by Tregonning Boat Co. (Shilshole, WA.) for the Harvey Rowe family, owners of Ballard Brass. Originally named Marharver, after Rowe family members, she was sold in 1953 to the Timmerman family, active members of the Queen City Yacht club in Portage Bay, Seattle, where she moored under cover for over 35 years. They re-named her Puget Lady, re-powered with a surplus WWII Detroit 6-71 diesel motor and installed an Ed Monk, Sr. designed fly-bridge and aft cockpit cover.
Puget Lady’s hull is 1-1/8” Port Orford cedar on 12” center oak frames, fastened with galvanized boat nails. Her house is solid 2” Honduras mahogany. She has beautiful custom cast bronze and brass hardware throughout her deck and cabin. Over the past 22 yrs. we have replaced and maintained all her mechanical systems during annual haul-outs. We have cruised Puget Lady extensively throughout Puget Sound, B.C Coast, Vancouver Is. and numerous voyages to S.E. Alaska. She has been boathouse kept the past 34 yrs. The time has arrived where we are considering passing her along to the next deserving steward of this exceptional Lady.
