The Hvalsoe 18 measures 18′6″ by 5′4″, Her rig is an easy to reef lug yawl. Design displacement is 750lbs.
Designer Eric Hvalsoe says his goal for the design was “to create a boat that was comfortable to inhabit—in the oar-and-sail sense of inhabit—for long days on the water.”
Launched in 2015, “Haverchuck” has since explored much (but not nearly enough) of the Salish Sea from South Puget Sound to the north end of Vancouver Island.
