Nevermore

Nevermore began her life in the imagination of her builder, Ralph Eastland. With an axe in hand and an imagination in his heart, Ralph went into the forests of British Columbia and felled the trees that he would then craft into the timbers of this magnificent schooner. Meticulously constructed of exemplar Pacific NW woods, Nevermore has a red cedar hull, Pacific yew frames, Douglas fir decks, Sitka price masts, and Alaskan yellow cedar beams. Once completed, Ralph and his family lived aboard the vessel for many years. In 1990 the current owner William Wolf purchased the ship from Ralph. With the highly skilled assistance of the Port Townsend wooden boat community, William has maintained and improved her throughout, preserving Ralph’s vision of an enchanted bright-finished gaff-rigged schooner. Wonderfully appointed for Pacific NW cruising, Nevermore has made nearly annual voyages to the remote regions of B.C and SE Alaska. Nevermore has called P.T. her home port for nearly 30 years.
