Kent Zimmerman and his wife went back East to I Y R S (International Yacht Restoration School) to purchase a rebuilt Beetle cat in 2009. Kent fell in love with Beetle cat from Center for Wooden Boats. I taught sailing in several and Lisa and I were looking find a used one. We were interduced to Pete Rust who was selling one he had bought for his son (who wanted a more modern boat, not an old wood boat,) .Kent and his wife drove her from MA. cross country to WA.
We purchased her in 2023 and named her after a long and fun story of my dads first boat.
