Encore was one of the first inboard models built by Simon Fletcher of Port Angeles. He began building small outboard runabouts designed off the Speedliner Torpedo of the 40s and 50s. Simon built approximately 70 boats from 1987 to at least 2009.
Encore is 18′, powered by a 122 hp 140 ci 4 cylinder Kodiak Marine engine built off the Ford Lima block used in the Pinto, Ranger, Mustang, and other Ford models from the 80s and 90s. She’s no slow pony though! Her closed circuit cooling system keeps her running strong in the Sound at up to 40 mph.
She’s recently completely refinished with 12 coats of varnish, new gold leaf name and Fletcher logos, and in a departure from her original white caulk lines now accents herself deck boards with gold. She still wears her original cockpit upholstery and original varnish on all interior brightworks.
