Sam Devlin designed this 1989 early version Surf Scoter “Prince of Tides” as a boat that could take two boaters as far as their imaginations went. It has a 60 HP engine ideal for seven knot cruising allowing time to really enjoy our Pacific Northwest waters. The boat was recently in Oregon on the Yaquina River. After three years in dry land Covid storage owner Ed Fisher kindly passed “Bunky’s Uncle” care on to Palmers in 2023. Makenzie Devlin then refreshed the exterior of the boat and it became “Burns Cove.” Palmer’s dream is to make a voyage to Ketchican (just 100 hours and two refuelings!!). Who can tell where the next 36 years and future caretakers will travel.
