Alki

Alki was built for a special friend who lives in the greater Seattle area. It features inlay work representing extremely personal and impactful moments in their life. Although this kayak is not packed with tons of intricate artwork, it does employ some very poignant symbology that carries great meaning to its destined recipient. The development of this kayak was a long process of capturing those key moments for them.

This kayak, though totally functional and seaworthy, with be prominently displayed in the living room space of its future home. Suspended by cables from the ceiling, the kayak will be surrounded by the beautiful skyline of downtown Seattle with Alki Point lighthouse in sight to the south.
