Built during the depression by Merton Christianson to transport he and his wife from Kelso, Wa down the Columbia and up the coast to Alaska to find work. They failed to find employment there and returned South to settle in West Sound, Orcas Island where we are told Merton built houses.
We have been custodians of Sea Cloud since 2000.
