In Festival Boats 2017

This replica is Bruce’s rendition of a Pete Culler Cutter as seen in O’Rourke’s book “Culler’s Other Boats”. Homemade cream colored gaff sails to fit the solid fir, lengthened spars make her fun in a light, summer breeze but a challenge to sail in those Georgia strait blows, well until triple reefed! She’s pretty enough to be welcomed to most Canadian anchorages especially when Hallie and Colette row to shore first without scruffy dad. That cathead set up makes it easier to stow that big anchor with its good holding power for those rocky steep grounds of Desolation Sound. We have been so lucky in those small nooks and crannys which can be so beautiful and peaceful!
