Waterhawk II

In Festival Boats 2019

Construction was begun in 1941 but the original owner had to leave the Seattle area after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December, 1941. The framed and partially planked hull was hoisted into the overhead of the boat shop where it remained until 1947. The vessel was used by the uncle of the builder, Vernor Jensen, for several years to showcase marine equipment before being sold. The current owner has upgraded the propulsion and electrical systems while maintaining many of the original features. The vessel has a range of 1,000 nautical miles and has successfully cruised to Juneau, Alaska.
