Tempus Puget

In Festival Boats 2022

“Tempus Puget” is a gaff rigged sloop with a collapsible mast. It is a “Weekender” design from the Stevenson Project’s design. She was built in 1999 by a father and son in Portland Oregon. She somehow found her way to Bend Oregon, where her owner sold her to go live full time on a ship in Florida. She is now kept in Federal Way, Washington where she sails local lakes and (When her new owner becomes skilled enough) Puget sound. Her name is a play on the Latin phrase “Tempus Fugit”, a popular stoic saying meaning “Time is Fleeting”, mixed of course with the “Puget” Sound. The phrase is meant to remind you that we are all mortal, and to cherish each and every day by doing things you enjoy, surrounded by those you love.
