Annual Sea Dogs' Regatta - the saltiest race of the year! Annual Sea Dogs' Regatta - the saltiest race of the year! Photo by Michael Berman

This race is NOT about speed, it's about seamanship. Boats can be of any hull material.  Race starts on the beach with one crew member rowing, with a dog (stuffed dogs allowed) out to their anchored boat, climbing aboard, then sailing off anchor through a course that involves the completion of various tasks including (but never limited to!) heaving a line, sailor overboard retrieval, heaving-to, tucking a reef, navigation and a seamanship quiz! All boats welcome!
