Matson's Century of Shipping & the US Merchant Marine
Talks & demonstrations
Event description
Leslie Lincoln - Leslie discovered Port Townsend aboard her H-28 ketch and after graduating from college in British Columbia wrote the book "Coast Salish Canoes" supporting native waterborne culture. In the 1990's Leslie joined the US Merchant Marines as a Radio Electronics Officer working on container ships and recently returned from a commercial shipping assignment in Kuwait. Historic and maritime interests coincide in Leslie's presentation on Matson shipping and the Merchant Marine.
